(393) In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably Set their hands and affixt their Seals the Day and Year above written Sealed and delivered J Hepburn Jos.a Beall (Seal) In Presence of John Gordon Elinor Beall (Seal) Received on the Day & Year first within written of & from the Same George Beall the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money being the consideration Money within Specified Witness Jos.a Beall J Hepburn Recorded the 13.th day of May 1768 10½ sides Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite Made this Seventeenth day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Seven Between Joshua Beall of Prince Georges County Gentleman and Eleanor his wife of the first part and George Beall of the same place Gentleman of the Second part and John Hall Esquire Attorney at Law of the third part Whereas James Greenfield late of Prince Georges County aforesaid deceased by his Last will and Testament did devise and bequeath unto his daughters Sarah and Eleanor one tract or parcell of land containing fifty Acres of Land pheasants hills together with one hundred Acres of Land called Freemans hills in Tail Whereas on Surveying and lying out the said Tract of Land Freemans hills there Appeared to be two hundred and fifty five Acres of land more than Specify'd in the said last will and Testament Whereas by Agreement by and between a Certain John Priggs who Intermarried with the aforesaid Sarah the Same Joshua Beall and Eleanor his wife and Certain Thomas Smith Greenfield it was Concluded that the said Joshua Beall and Eleanor his wife Should have hold Possess and Enjoy all that part of the said Tract or Three hundred and fifty five Acres Beginning at the end of two hundred and thirty Six perches on the Second line of the original tract and running thence with the said Line North thirty one degrees thirty minutes Easterly one hundred and fifty one perches to a bounded Ash being the third original boundary of the said Tracts Standing in a branch called the wolf pitt branch thence runing down and with the said branch and boundary therewith the four following courses and distances South Eighty three degrees East twenty perches thence South Eighty degrees East twenty four perches thence South Sixty Seven degrees East Seventy Six perches thence South thirty Six degrees East twenty two perches to the end of the head line of a parcell of land formerly made over by a deed of writ from James Greenfield to his wife Eleanor and his three Children which head line being the westermost bounds of the said tract mentioned in the deed of trust aforesaid then reversing part of the said line and bounding therewith South Eighty degrees west One hundred and five perches then with a Straight line to the beginning abovementioned Containing One hundred and thirty five Acres of Land as by the said deed of division references being thereto had may more fully and at large Appear Whereas the said tract of Land called pheasants hills hath since been divided by and between the aforesaid John Priggs and Sarah his wife and the said Joshua Beall and Eleanor his wife since their respective Intermarriage the Eastern division being the part Assigned to the said Joshua Beall and Eleanor his wife which said part begins at the end of thirty three and a half perches in the first line of a tract of land |
