(375) And We do hereby Revoke Annul and make void all former and other Commissions Powers and Authorities touching the premisses by us our Guardians or Predecessors Authority heretofore granted to any other person or persons whatever And this our Commission and the powers herein granted is to Continue during our Pleasure Witness our Trusty and well beloved Horatio Sharpe Esq.r Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief in and over our said Province this 26.th Day of March in the seventeen Year of our Dominion Anno Domini 1768 Signed by Order the Great Seal in U Scott Cl Cor Wax Appendant Ex.d Maryland fs Know all Men by these presents that I Bennett Allen of the City of Annapolis in the Province aforesaid Clerk am held and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c.a in Five Thousand Pounds Sterling to be paid to the said Lord Proprietary his Executors Administrators and Assigns To the which payment well and truly to be made I bind myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators in the whole and for the whole firmly by these presents Sealed with my Seal and Dated this 26.th Day of March Anno Domini 1768 Whereas the above bound Bennett Allen by Commission bearing even Date with the Date aforesaid is Constituted and Appointed by the Orders and Instructions of the aforesaid Right Honourable Frederick Lord Baron of Baltimore his said Lordships Chief Agent Escheator and Receiver General as by Reference being had to the said Commission Recorded in the Office of the Provincial Court may more fully appear Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such that is Case the said Bennett Allen shall from Time to Time and at all Times during his Continuance in the Office aforesaid by and in Virtue of the Commission aforesaid faithfully Honestly Justly and exactly fulfil discharge perform and Execute his Duty and Duties in the said Commission directed and contained and in every Respect obey execute and perform such orders and Rules for his Conduct as he shall from Time to Time receive according to the purport meaning Tenour or Effect of the said Commission then the above Obligation to be void and of none Effect else to be in full Force and Virtue Sealed and Delivered Bennet Allen (seal) in the presence of Hor.o Sharpe James Brooks Recorded the 7.th Day of April 1768 ¾ sides Ex.d This Indenture made this first Day of March in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between Cornelius Thompson of Frederick County in Colony of Virginia Gentleman of the one part and John Hawkins of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Planter on the other part Witnesseth that the (said) |
