(372) Plumer Ijams and Richard Burgess Church Wardens being the Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish in Ann Arundel County aforesaid to them and their Successors for Ever for the use of a Glebe and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Thomas Gassaway for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant promise Grant and Agree to and with the aforesaid Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish in the County aforesaid and with their Successors the aforesaid Land and premisses hereby Granted Bargained and Sold or intended to be and every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid and unto their Successors against him the aforesaid Thomas Gassaway and his Heirs and against all and every person or persons whatsoever Claiming or pretending to Claim any right Title or Interest out in or to the same Lands and premisses by from or under him or them shall and will warrant and for Ever by these presents Defend In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the Day and Year above written Signed Sealed & Delivered Tho.s Gassaway (seal) In the presence of us Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Sarah Cowman Received the 23.rd Day of March 1768 of the within Named David Love Rector Henry Hall Richard Williams Jun.r William Ijams Richard Watkins Lewis Lee Richard Beard Jun.r Vestrymen and Plumer Ijams and Richard Burgess Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish in Ann Arundel County the sum of Two hundred and sixty four pounds seven shillings and six pence sterling being the Consideration Money mentioned for the within Bargained premisses as witness Wittness Tho.s Gassaway Dan of S.t Thos Jenifer Sarah Cowman Ann Arundel County fs.t On the 23.rd Day of March 1768 came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within Named Thomas Gassaway and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named David Love, Henry Hall, Richard Williams Jun.r, William Ijams, Richard Watkins, Lewis Lee, Richard Beard Jun.r, Plumer Ijams & Richard Burgess being the Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish in Ann Arundel County aforesaid and their Successors for the uses within mentioned according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided At the same Time Came Mary (Gassaway) |
