(370) and Deed and the Land and premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Worthington Son of John his heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided J B Bordley 1768 March 12.th Rec.d of M.r John Worthington son of John the sum of fourteen shillings sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land and by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General J Brice Recorded the 12.th Day of March 1768 10 sides Ex.d This Indenture made this twenty third Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between Thomas Gassaway of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part And the Rev.d David Love Rector and Henry Hall, Richard Williams Jun.r William Ijams Richard Watkins, Lewis Lee, Richard Beard Jun.r Vestrymen and Plumer Ijams and Richard Burgess Church Wardens being the Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish in Ann Arundel County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the aforesaid Thomas Gassaway for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and sixty four pounds seven shillings and six pence sterling paid in Hand to him the said Thomas Gassaway at or before the ensealing and Delivery of these present the Receipt whereof the said Thomas Gassaway doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and from every part and parcel thereof doth Acquit release exonerate and discharge the aforesaid David Love Rector and Henry Hall Richard William Jun.r William Ijams Richard Watkins Lewis Lee Richard Beard Jun.r Vestrymen and Plumer Ijams and Richard Burgess Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish aforesaid in Ann Arundel County aforesaid and their Successors and every of them by these presents Hath Granted Bargained, sold Aliened Remised Released Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant Bargain sell Alien Remise Release Enfeoff and Confirm unto them the said David Love Rector and Henry Hall Richard Williams Jun.r William Ijams Richard Watkins Lewis Lee Richard Beard Jun.r Vestrymen and Plumer Ijams and Richard Burgess Church Wardens being the Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens of All Hallows Parish in the County aforesaid to them and their Successors for the use of a Glebe all that Tract of Land lying in Ann Arundel County on the south side of South River at the Head of Hills's Creek being two pieces or parcels of Land purchased by the said Thomas Gassaway from Mess.rs Moores of Philadelphia part of Scorton and Burge as by (the) |
