(353) any grant by the said Upton Scott as the Executor thereof In Witness whereof the parties hereunto have interchangeably set their Hands and seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us the word Esquire in the third line of the first page U Scott (seal) and the words the said in the twenty fifth line of the same page being first interlined Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer James Brooks 1767 October 22.d Received of Frances Key and Normand Bruce the sum of Four hundred and one Pounds sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer James Brooks U Scott Maryland fs 1763 October 22.d then came the within named Upton Scott party to the within Deed and acknowledged the Land and Premisses within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Francis Key and Normand Bruce their Heirs and Assigns for ever before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded the 11.th Day of December 1767 9¾ sides Ex.d Maryland fs This Indenture made this nineteenth Day of November in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty seven Between Michael Swoope of York Town in York County in the Province of Pennsilvania Gent.n of the one part and John England of Frederick County in Province of Maryland Farmer of the other part witnesseth that the said Michael Swoope for and in consideration of the sum of thirty three Pounds fifteen shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in Hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied and contented and from every part and parcell thereof doth by these presents Exonerate and discharge the said John England his Heirs Executors and Administrators and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and Confirm and by these presents the said Michael Swoope hath given granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed unto the said John England his Heirs and Assigns for Ever All that part of a Tract of Land hereafter Described situate lying and being in Frederick County in the Province aforesaid it being part of a Tract of Land called Englands Chance Resurveyed Begining for said part at the bounded Trees of the Original Tract and runing thence (South) |
