(244) and twenty acres of Land and lying and being in Baltimore County And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest Trust Property Claim and Demand whatsoever by virtue of the Mortgage aforesaid in Law or Equity to them or either of them appertaining or belonging In Witness whereof the parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in John Brice (Seal) the presence of R Ghiselin, Rob.t Couden Sarah Brice (Seal) On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed viz.t July 2.d 1767 Rec.d of the within named Edward Norwood the Sum of five Shillings Ster Sterling Money being the Consideration Money to be by him paid to us Jn.o Brice £0 5 0 Witness R Ghiselin Rob.t Couden Sarah Brice July 2.d 1767 Then Came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County the within mentioned John Brice and Sarah Brice and Severally Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed and the Land within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within mentioned Edward Norwood and his heirs R Ghiselin Recorded the 2.d July 1767 Rob.t Couden 4 sides Ex.d This Indenture made this fifteenth day of June in the Year Seventeen hundred and Sixty Seven Between Basil Beckwith of Prince Georges County Planter of the one part and John Clagett of the Same County Planter of the other part Whereas for the docking barring and extinguishing all Estates Tail and Reversions or Remainders thereupon expectant or depending of and in the Lands and Appurtenances herein after mentioned the said Basil Beckwith as Demandant did heretofore (at the request Cost and Charges of the aforesaid John Clagett) Prosecute and sue forth out of his Lordships high Court of Chancery his said Lordships Writ of Entry sur Disseisin enlepost against him the said John Clagett returnable and returnable to the Provincial Court at Annapolis the third Tuesday of May whereby the said Basil Beckwith did Demand against him the said John Clagett All that tract or parcell of plantable Land lying and being in Prince Georges County aforesaid called Greenland and Containing seven hundred acres To which said writ the said John Clagett did (appear) |
