(177) On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed viz.t Received on the day and year first within Written of and from the within named William Watts the Nine thousand pounds of Crop Tobacco being the consideration within mentioned to be by him paid to us her Witness John Black Received by us Mary | Green mark her Ann \ Harding mark On the fiveteenth day of December seventeen hundred and sixty six Came before us the Subscribers two Justices of the Peace for Saint Mary's County the within named William Watts Mary Green and Ann Hardy and severally Acknowledged the within writing to be their respective Act and Deed to and for the uses Intents and Purposes within mentioned and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the said William Watts his heirs and Assigns for ever According to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided Before us Rob.t Chesley John Black 23.d day of Dec.r 1766 Then Rece.d of W.m Watts Two Shillings and seven pence half Penny Sterling Alienation Due on the within Land I say Rec.d for his Lordships use by virtue of a Commission from Edw.d Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships Agent 7 sides Recorded the 9.th day of March 1767 p Benjamin Young Cl Exam.d This Indenture made the Twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord ^God^ One Thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between Samuel Taylor of Ann Arundel County in the province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Nicholas Maccubbin of the City of Annapolis in the Province aforesaid Merchant of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Taylor for and in consideration of the sum of sixty Seven pounds Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Nicholas Maccubbin the receipt whereof he the said Samuel Taylor Doth hereby Acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully Satisfied Contented and paid and thereof and therefrom Doth Acquit and discharge the said Nicholas Maccubbin his heirs and Assigns For Ever hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain and sell unto the said Nicholas Maccubbin his heirs and Assigns For Ever Two hundred Acres of Land being |
