(175) first day of September One thousand seven hundred and sixty four on or before the first day of November in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty seven aforesaid that then the above grant bargain and sale of the aforesaid two parcels of Land and every article clause and thing therein contained shall determin and be void to all intents as if the same had never been made any thing therein to the contrary notwithstanding And the said William Rooke for himself his heirs Exors and Admrs doth hereby Covenant to and with the said Francis Harris his heirs and Assigns well and truly to pay the aforesaid sum of one hundred fifty seven pounds Eighteen Shillings and Six pence Current Money af.d with the lawfull interest thereon as abovesaid on or before the af.d first day of November in the year last mentioned In Witness whereof the said William Brooke hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Henry Baker William Rooke (seal) Eve Baker On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Written viz.t Received of the within Named Francis Harris the sum of One hundred Fifty Seven pounds Eighteen Shillings and Six pence Current Money being the Consideration money within mentioned as Witness my hand this Sixteenth day of February Anno Domini 1767 William Rooke Test Will Baxter Cæcil County fs.t Be it Remembered that on the sixteenth day of February in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred sixty Seven William Rooke the grantor within named personally appeared before us two of his Lordship's Justices of the Peace for the County af.d and did acknowledge the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and Lands and premisses therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within named Francis Harris his heirs and Assigns according to the true intent and meaning of the within Indenture Acknowledged before us John Read 9 Sides William Baxter Recorded the 3.d day of March 1767 Exam.d This Indenture made this Fivetenth day of December in the Year Seventeen hundred and sixty six Between William Watts of Saint Marys County Planter of the one part and Mary Green and Ann Hardy (alias Ann Harding) of the same County Spinsters of the other part Whereas for the docking barring and extinguishing all Estates Tail and reversions or remainders thereupon |
