       On The Back of the aforegoing Bond was Thus written Viz.t

       December the 22.d 1766 Pursuant to the Directions of an Act of Assembly
       an Act intitled an Act for the Payment of the Public claims for emitting
       Bills of Credit and other purposes therein mentioned you are hereby
       required and Directed to receive and immediately to Record the within Bond
       together with the Order among the Land Records of your office
       To Reverdy Ghiselin Esq.r                                 Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer
       Clerk of the Provincial Court

       Know all Men by these Presents that we John Clapham John Hall Esq.r
       and Loyd Dulany Esq.r all of the City of Annapolis in Maryland are held
       and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary his heirs
       and Successors in the full and just Sum of Three Thousand Pounds sterling
       to be paid unto the said Lord Proprietary his heirs and successors To which
       payment well and Truly to be made and Done we bind ourselves our heirs
       Executors and Administrators Jointly and severally firmly by these presents
       sealed with our Seals and Dated this Twenty third Day of December Anno
       Domini 1766      The Condition of the above obligation is such that
       if the above bound John Clapham whilst he shall continue in the Office
       of Commissioner for Emitting Bills of Credit shall well and faithfully
       Execute and Perform the Several Duties and Trusts required of him to be
       Executed and Performed by an Act of Assembly of this Province Entituled
       an Act for the Payment of the Public Claims for Emitting Bills of Credit
       and for other Purposes therein mentioned according to the True Intent and
       meaning thereof then the above obligation to be void and of none Effect
       otherwise to remain in Full Force and Virtue
