(108) and enure and that the Recoveror therein named and his heirs should and shall stand and be seised of an in the recovered premisses and every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances to and for the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Matthew Eversfield his heirs and Assigns for ever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered J Rogers (seal) in the presence of us W.m Turnor Wootton Matt Eversfield (seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was Thus Written Viz.t Received on the day and year first within written of and from the within named Matthew Eversfield the Sum of five Shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within Mentioned to be by him paid to me I say received by me Witness W.m Turnor Wootton J Rogers On the Twenty fourth day of July Seventeen hundred and Sixty Six Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within Named John Rogers and Mathew Eversfield and Acknowledged the within writing to be their respective Act and Deed to and for the uses intents and purposes within mentioned and the Lands and premisses therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the said matthew Eversfield his heirs and assigns for ever according to the True intent and meaning of the Same writing and the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided 8½ sides Recorded 24.th July 1766 Before me J Hepburn Ex.d This Indenture made this Tenth day of March in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty Six Between John Segar of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland planter of the one part and John Horrell of Saint Marys County in the Province aforesaid planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Segar for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money to him the said John Segar in Hand paid by the aforesaid John Horrell at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath Granted bargained and Sold and by these presents Doth Grant bargain and sell unto him the said John Horrell his Executors Administrators and Assigns All That Tract or parcell of Land called Recompence lying and being in Saint Marys County aforesaid and containing two hundred and twenty Acres more or Less Together with all Edifices Buildings Gardens Orchards ways (waters) |
