        On the 21.^st Day of July 1762    Then Rec.^d of William
        Hall of Elk Ridge the Consideration Money within Mentioned
        being Forty two Pounds Ten Shillings Currant
        Money  Witness
            John Burgess Junior            Basil Dorsey
            Caleb Dorsey Jnior

            On the 21.^st day of July 1762  Then Came before
        us the subscribers Two of his Lordships Justices of Ann
        Arundel County Court the Within named Basil Dorsey
        Sen.^r and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his
        Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein
        Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within
        Named William Hall of Elk Ridge his Heirs and
        Assigns for ever and at the same Time Came Sarah
        Dorsey the Wife of the said Basil Dorsey Sen.^r who
        being by us Privately Examined out of the hearing of
        her said husband freely and Voluntarily acknowledged
        her consent thereto and Relinquished her Right of
        Dower in the within Land and Premisses and Declared
        that she did the same of her own free Will without the
        compulsion of her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure
        Acknowledged Before us the Day & Year above
