Exam.^d of June One Thousand seven hundred & sixty two between
        James Forbes of S.^t Mary's Merchant of the one part and
        George Maxwell of Charles County Merchant of the other
        part, Whereas the aforesaid George Maxwell & James Forbes
        did on or about the first day of October One Thousand seven
        hundred & fifty seven enter into joint Trade and Copartnership
        & both continued partners untill the seventeenth day of May
        last past at their equal expence & risque & for their Equal
        profit in a store kept by him in Benedict Town in Charles
