x.d This Indenture made this Twenty sixth Day of
June one thousand seven
hundred and sixty two Between
Charles Carroll of the City
of Annapolis of the one part
and Jacob Danner of Frederick
County Farmer on the other
part Witnesseth that
Whereas Edward Digges, William
Digges, and Henry Daniel
Digges sons of John Digges
Deceased Have by indenture
bearing Date herewith
conveyed to Jacob Danner
in consideration of one
Thousand pounds Currency
all that Tract of Land called
Spring Plain situate and
laying in Frederick County
but formerly in prince George's
containing Eight
hundred and Forty Eight
Acres of Land more or less, and
Whereas the said Land is
under Mortgage to Charles Carroll
Esquire party to these presents
and Whereas the said
sum of One Thousand pounds
Pensilvania Currency hath
been paid by the said Digges's
and Danner to the said
Charles Carroll Now
this Indenture Witnesseth
that the said Charles Carroll
for and in consideration of
of the sum of One Thousand
pounds Currency to him
in hand paid the Receipt
whereof he does hereby acknowledge
and thereof doth acquit
and Discharge the said Jacob
Danner his Executors and
Administrators Hath as
he doth by these presents
Release all his Right, Title
Claim or Demand of in or
unto the said Eight hundred
forty Eight Acres of Land
Spring Plains
To have and to hold the
said Eight hundred and
forty Eight Acres of Land
called Spring Plain unto
the said Jacob Danner his
Heirs and Assigns forever,
and the said Charles Carroll
doth Covenant to and with
the said Jacob Danner his
Heirs and Assigns the
aforesaid Eight hundred
and forty Eight Acres of Land
