(411 one shilling & nine pence sterling money and Nine hundred and sixty three Pounds of Tobacco it being in full for the Principal and Interest that arose and is now due on the said Burrage Scotts Mortgage to the Elk ridge Iron Company, And I do likewise acknowledge that I have received of the said Charles Hammond Jun.r a further sum of Twenty five Pounds four shillings & ten Pence one Farthing Current Money due to the Elk ridge Iron Company afd for Goods sold to him the said Burrage Scott and oustanding on the credit of the above Mortgage afd and lastly I do hereby oblige myself my Heirs Ex.rs and adm.rs in behalf of the Company afd and for my self to make Do or suffer to be done any other act or acts Thing or things whatsoever for the better security of him the said Charles Hammond Jun.r his heirs or assigns as shall be hereafter reasonably requested by the said Charles Hammond Jun.r or either of his Heirs or assigns as aforesaid As Witness my hand for myself and Company this Twenty sixth day of September Anno Domini 1761 Test Caleb Dorsey & Comp Tho.s Todd 3 s.d Recorded the 21.st June 1763 Ex.d Know all Men by these presents that I Burrage Scott of Ann.ll County Planter for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen Pounds Current Money to be allowed and credited me by Charles Hammond Jun.r assignee of a Mortgage made by me unto a certain Caleb Dorsey & Company, bearing date the Twenty sixth day of February seventeen hundred and fifty Nine, and recorded in Ann.ll County |
