       be molested or hindred from finishing his crop  In Witness whereof
       I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of March
       seventeen hundred and sixty

Exam.d   This Indenture made the Eighth Day of May in the
       Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & sixty  Between
       Barnabas Hughes of the County of Lancaster in Pennsylvania
       Yeoman of the one part and William Allen of the City of Philadelphia
       Esq.r of the other part   Whereas by a certain Contract or Deed
       Poll bearing date the fifth day of March last under the hand and
       seal of Daniel Dulany of the City of Annapolis in the Province of
       Maryland Esquire reciting as therein recited) he the said Daniel
       Dulany did agree to convey to the said Barnabas Hughes a certain
       Tract of Land called the Long Meadow enlarged scituated in the
       County of Frederick in the said Province of Maryland on the consideration
       following Viz on the payment of Two Thousand Pounds sterling or the
       Value thereof in Pensylvania or Maryland Money according to the
       Common Course and rate of Exchange which shall prevail at the
       Time of payment, the said M.r Hughs to Elect & chuse in which
       of the sid species of Money he will pay the said sum And the said sum to
       be paid in the following Manner Viz  One third part of it immediately
       on the day of Executing the deed and the other two thirds on the fifteenth
       of March which shall be in the Year One thousand seven hundred
       and sixty three  And this last payment to be secured by such security
       as the said Daniel Dulany shall require  And the said Daniel
       Dulany also therein agrees to convey the said Land clear
