232 Memorand.m On the 20.th Day of Septemb.r Came Amon Butler party to the within Deed, and acknowledged the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right, Title Interest and Estate of the within Named George Mathews his Heirs and assigns for ever, at the same Time came Elizabeth wife of the said Butler and being Examined as the Law directs, acknowledged that she freely and volontarily gave up her right of Dower to the within mentioned Land & Premisses, without being compelled thereto by any threats or ill usage of her said Husband or induced thereto through fear of his displeasure, Acknowledged before the subscriber two of his Lordship's Justices for Baltimore County NRuxton Gay Will.m Lyon Sept.r 20.th 1762 Reced of George Mathews seven pounds eighteen shillings sterl the Consideration Money within Mentioned per Amon Butler NRuxton Gay 1762 October 7.th Received of M.r George Mathews six shillings and four pence half penny sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Loyd Esq.r his said Lordship's Agent & receiver General 8 sides Benjamin Beall Recorded the 7.th October 1762 |
