226 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz Received the Day and Year within Written of the within Named John Rogers the sum of Five shillings Sterling Money in full for the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid by him to us £0 5 0 Witness Joseph Smith Joseph Ensor Thomas Hands Mary Augustine Ensor On the Thirteenth Day of August seventeen hundred and sixty two Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Joseph Ensor and Mary Augustine Ensor his Wife and severally acknowledged the within Deed to be their Respective Act and Deed and that the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned were the Right and Estate of the said John Rogers his Heirs and Assigns for ever to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes of the Within Deed and according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof And the said Mary Augustine being examined by me apart from and out of the hearing of her said husband Joseph Ensor did repeat as aforesaid and did further declare that she had by the within Writing released and did thereby intend to release all her Right and Title to the within Premisses, And that she Executed the said Writing and made this acknowledgment of her own free Will and Consent without any Compulsion or Threats from her said Husband or for fear of his Displeasure Taken before J Hepburn 12 sides Recorded the 30.th of September 1762 |
