                         On the Back of the aforegoing Deed
                         was thus written Viz

       This 28.th Day of September 1762   Then came before me the
       subscriber one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court the above
       named James Manning and Acknowledged the within writing to be
       his Deed and the Lands & Premisses therein Mentioned to the above
       named Thompson Mason his Heirs and Assigns for the uses
       therein Mentioned

Exam.d   This Indenture made the seventeenth Day of April
       in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty two   Between
       Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson surviving Assignees of
       John Philpot and John Hutchinson of London Bankrupts of the one
       part and Charles Hammond Junior of Ann Arundel County in the
       Province of Maryland Gentleman of the other part   Whereas Patrick
       Creagh late of the City of Annapolis in the said Province of Maryland
       Merchant Deceased did in his Life Time by his Deed bearing date on or about
       the sixteenth Day of April in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and
       fifty four among other things convey and assure unto the said Bartholmew
       Pomeroy and Joseph Janson and their Heirs, The two following Tracts  
       [illegible] Land lying and being in the county aforesaid and [illegible]
       [illegible] the one known and called by the Name of Swan Neck
       [illegible] singular its appurtenances being situate on the
       North side of Severn River, The other called by the Names of
       Chance with each and every of its appurtenances lying on
