(90) and Abraham Cox of Charles County on the other Part Whereas it was covenanted granted and agreed by and between the Said John Thompson and Abraham Cox that the Said John Thompson for Barring and Docking all Estates tail of him the said John Thompson in and to the Tract or Parcel of Land with the Appurtenances herein after mentioned and Limiting and Settling the Use on the said Tract of Land in Fee Simple in the said Abraham Cox should permit and Suffer a Common Recovery of and upon the said Tract of Land and for that Purpose a Common Recovery with Single Voucher in which the said Abraham Cox was Demandant was Suffered and had at a Provincial Court held at the City of Annapolis in April Term in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty as by the Records of the said Court Reference being thereunto had may more at Large appear This Indenture Witnesseth that He the said John Thompson for and in consideration of the Premisses and of the Quantity of Ten thousand Pounds of Tobacco to him the said John Thompson in Hand paid by the said Abraham Cox the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and Sold and by these Presents doth give grant Bargain and Sell unto the Said Abraham Cox All that Tract or parcel of Land with the Appurtenances now known or called by the Name of Thompson's rest being a part of a Tract of Land called Greenes Inheritance in Charles County Beginning at a bounded red Oak standing by the Main Branch of Porttobacco and running thence South one hundred twenty and four Perches to a bounded red Oak the third Bound tree of Robert Green's Land thence with the Said Land West one hundred and thirty Perches to a bounded Spanish Oak thence North one hundred and twenty four Perches to a bounded Poplar by the aforesaid main branch thence up the Branch as it runneth to the first bounded Tree containing and laid out for one hundred acres more or less and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders and all the Estate right Title of Interest of him the said John Thompson in and to the Premisses To have and to Hold all and Singular the herein before granted Premisses to him the said Abraham Cox his Heirs and Assigns for (Ever) |
