(58) Chief Lord of the fee of whom the Premisses are holden only Excepted and foreprised In Witness whereof the said John Digges hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and Year above written Signed Sealed and Delivered In Presence of John Digges (Seal) John Darnall Jun.r John Darnall On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed Viz.t November the 17th 1759 Received of Jacob Miers one hundred and seventeen pounds the Consideration Money within Expressed Testis John Darnall John Digges Maryland fs November the 17th 1759 Came M.r John Digges Party to the within Deed and Acknowledged the Land and Premisses within Mentioned to be the right and Estate of Jacob Miers his heirs and assigns for ever before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court John Darnall Received of M.r Jacob Miers four Shillings and Eight pence half sides penny Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on 6½ the within Mentioned Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esquire his Lordships Agent and Receiver General Recorded 18th December 1759 Rich.d Dorsey Ex.d This Indenture made the Seventeenth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred fifty and Nine Between John Digges of Baltimore County and in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and George Bare of Lancaster County and Province of Pennsylvania of the other part Witnesseth the said John Digges for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and forty pounds to him in hand paid by the said George Bare before the Insealing and Delivery of these presents wherewith the said John Digges doth acknowledge (him) |
