       Said William Joseph or by his Assent consent or Procurem.t at any time
       or Times the Rents and Services thereof due unto the right Honble Lord Proprietary
       of this Province or that shall hereafter grow due unto him only excepted & comprised
       And that the said William Joseph & Charles Carroll & his Heirs the said Tract of
       Land & Premisses with all & Singular its Right members & Appurtenances &
       every Part & parcel thereof without any Lawful Suit Evasion devesting or disturbance
       of the said William Joseph or his Heirs or of any other pson or psons
       whatsoever claiming by from or under him them or any of them & the said
       William Joseph Doth for himself & his Heirs lastly Covenant & Agree with
       the said Charles Carroll & his Heirs to do & execute any other Deed or Deeds thing  
       or things for the more Sure & certain Conveyance of the pmisses which shall
       be advised devised or required of the said Charles Carroll or his or their Councill
       in the Law at the proper cost & charge of the said Charles Carroll or his Heirs
       In Witness whereof the said William Joseph hath hereunto set his hand
       & affixed his seal the Day & Year first above Written
       Signed Sealed & Delivered
       in the Presence of
       Daniel Carroll                                          W.m Joseph      (seal)
       Geo Plater

                On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written to wit

       Sep.r 30.th 1761  Receiv'd of Charles Carroll Esq.r five Shillings sterling
       being the Consideration Money within expres'd as Witness my Hand
       Test Daniel Carroll                                                                  W.m Joseph

       Sep.r 30.th 1761  Then Came before Us Two of his Lordships Justices of the
       Peace for S.t Marys County William Joseph Party to the within Deed &
       acknowledged the same according to the Act of Assembly in such cases made
       & Provided                     Acknowledged before

                                                                                  Hugh Hopewell


       Maryland S.t Marys County fs.t
                      I hereby Certifie that George Plater and Hugh Hopewell now are and
       have been for some time two of his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Justices of
       the Peace for the County aforesaid Lawfully Authorized and Assigned and to all
       acknowledgments Probates Certificates &c by them so signed due faith and credit
