       On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Written Viz.t

       Be it rembered that on the fifth day of August in the Year of our  
       Lord Seventeen hundred and sixty one before me the subscriber one
       of the Justices of the Provincial Court personall appeared David
       Lewis one of the subscribers to the within Power of Attorney and made
       oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that he was present
       at the execution of the Within power of Attorney and did see the
       within named Thomas Philpot sign seal and as his Act and
       Deed deliver the same to and for the purposes & uses therein
       mentioned and he further makes oath that Ralph Foster the
       other subscribing witness was also present at the execution of the
       within power of Attorney & subscribed his Name as a Witness thereto
       in this Deponents Presence

       Know all Men by these Presents that we Jane Hardman
Sea of Liverpoole in the County of Lancaster widow relict and Acting
x.d  Executrix of the last Will and Testament of John Hardman late
       of Liverpoole aforesaid Esquire deceased and William Whalley of
       Liverpoole aforesaid Merchant for Divers good Causes and
       Considerations us hereunto moving have made ordained constituted
       and appointed and by these presents Do make ordain constitute
       and appoint and in our place and stead put and depute
       Francis Hatfield of Bladensborough in the Province of Maryland
       in North America factor our true and lawfull Attorney for
       us and in our Name and Names and for our use to ask Demand Sue
       for recover and receive of and from all and every person and persons
       whatsoever whom it doth shall or may concern all such sum and
       Sums of Money Goods Chattels wares Merchandizes and Effects
       whatsoever which are or shall appear to be due and owing or
       belonging unto us in respect of the Partnership between the
