(274) and Consent of the said John Brice testified by his being a Party to and his sealing and executing these Presents hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened released and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant bargain Sell Alien release and Confirm unto the said William Steuart (in his actual Possession now being by Virtue of a Bargain and Sale to him thereof made by the said Robert Alexander for the consideration of one Shilling Sterling Money by Indenture bearing Date the Day next before the Day of the Date of these Presents for one whole year commencing from for transferring Uses into Possession) his Heirs and Assigns All those Tracts Peices Parts or Parcels of Land commonly called and known by the respective Original Names of Grange or Grance containing Two hundred two hundred Acres of Land and Inspection containing one hundred Acres of Land and Elk Plains containing one hundred and forty Nine Acres of Land and Hintons Conveniency containing Eighty Six Acres of Land and All that Peice Parcel or Part of a Tract of Land called Friendship Beginning at a marked red oak standing on a Bank Side on the West Side of the main North East Branch of Elk River being the first Bounder of the entire Tract thence North West two hundred and forty Perches to the Corner of a Tract called Belliconnel then south to the Head of a Gut at the Westermost Side of a Marsh and to the Eastward of a Tenement formerly known or called by the Name of Old Simons thence down the said Gut to the main Branch and bounded by the Natural Courses of the said Main Branch to the first Beginning containing one hundred and Sixty Eight Acres of Land and all that Peice Parcel or Part of a Tract of Land called Belliconnel beginning at a bounded Poplar Standing on the East Side of Elk River being the first Tree of the whole Tract thence Northerly up the fresh runs Natural Courses four hundred perches thence East One hundred and Sixty perches thence Southerly down Parralel with the Natural Courses as aforesaid four hundred Perches thence to the first Tree containing four hundred Acres of Land And all that other Peice Parcel or Part of the aforesaid Tract called Belliconnel beginning (at) |
