                On the back of the aforegoing Lease was thus written Viz.t

       Received on the day and Year first within written of and from the
       within named John Rearsby the sum of five shillings Sterling
       Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be         £  5  sterl
       by him paid to me

x.d  This Indenture Tripartite made this thirteenth day of
       March in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and Sixty one Between
       Charles Carroll the Elder of the City of Annapolis Esquire of the first part
       John Rearsby of the City of Annapolis aforesaid Gentleman of the Second Part
       and Thomas Johnson Junior of the City of Annapolis aforesaid Attorney at Law
       of the third Part Witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll for the docking
       barring and extinguishing all Estates Tail and all Revertions and Remainders
       thereupon expectant or depending of and in the Lot of Ground and appurtenances
       herein after mentioned and also for and in consideration of the sum of five
       shillings Sterling Money to him the said Charles Carroll by the aforesaid John
       Rearsby in Hand paid a or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the
       Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and for other good causes and considerations
       him the said Charles Carroll thereunto moving he the said Charles Carroll
       (by and with the Advice and Consent of the aforesaid Thomas Johnson junior
       testified by his being a party to and his sealing and executing these Presents)
       Hath granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these
       Presents Doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto him
