(256) x.d This Indenture made the eighteenth day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Between James Sterling of Kent County in the Province of Maryland Clerk and Mary his Wife of the one Part and James Hollyday of Queen Anns County in the Province aforesaid Gent of the other Part Whereas the said James Hollyday did at the Provincial Court held at Annapolis on the Second Tuesday of September last upon a Writ of Entry Sur Disseisin en le post before the Justices of the Same Court recover ^by common Recovery^ against the said James Sterling and Mary his Wife All that Parcel of land lying in Kent County on the West side of Chester River beginning at a small Black Walnut Tree at or near the Landing formerly called Thomas Stewarts Landing and running down the river West south West to the Mouth of a small cove commonly called the Pasture Cove from thence by a Line North North West three Hundred and twenty Perches from the End of the North North West Line East North East by a Line untill it intersects a Parallel from the first beginning Tree or Landing containing one hundred Acres and also all that parcel of Land lying in Kent County aforesaid beginning at the Northerly Point of a Marsh which makes the Mouth of a cove formerly called the Pasture Cove and running from thence West south West Nine Perches to the Beginning of the Freeschool Land and from thence running with the Freeschool Land North North West Forty perches then with the said Freeschool Land North twenty Six Degrees West two hundred and Ten Perches then North eighteen Degrees East thirty two Perches then south south East to the Beginning containing twenty five acres which said Parcels of Land are parts of Two Tracts of Land lying in Kent County afd called Partnership and Stepney and are the same Lands which were lately devised by James Smith late of Kent County aforesaid Deceased to his Grand Daughter Mary Sterling by his Last Will and Testament with the Appurtenances in Kent County aforesaid in which Recovery the Said James Sterling and Mary his Wife did Vouch to Warranty the Common Vouchee whereby a good and perfect Common Recovery with Single Voucher of the said Premisses with the Appurtenances according to the usual form of Common Recoverys was (had) |
