(101) to him in hand paid by the said John Evan Jenkin the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John Evan Jenkin his Heirs and Assigns for Ever all that Tract or Parcel of Land called and known by the Name of Pleasant Meadow Beginning at a Bounded black Oak and Bounded White Oak Standing on the East Side of a Ridge and near a Draught of Great Bear branch in Frederick County and Running thence South thirty eight East fifteen Perches then North Eighty four Degrees East thirty six perches then South forty perches then South fifty five degrees East fifty perches then North Eleven degrees West Ninety two perches then North Eighteen degrees East one hundred and ten Perches South Sixty four Degrees West Sixty four perches then North two degrees East fifty perches then North forty two degrees East Ninety four perches then North thirty two degrees East twenty perches then North Sixty two degrees West fifteen perches then south forty eight degrees West one hundred and eight perches then south fifty seven degrees West forty Perches then North Seventy eight degrees West twenty twenty perches then South thirty Seven degrees West fifty two perches then by a Straight Line to the Beginning Trees containing and laid out for one hundred and twenty eight Acres of Land more or less together with all and singular the Buildings Improvements and Appurtenances thereon or thereto in any wise belonging or appurtaining To have and to hold unto him the said John Evan Jenkin his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said John Evan Jenkin his Heirs and Assigns and for no other intent or purpose whatsoever the said Tract or Parcel of Land called pleasant Meadow with its appurtenances and the said Charles Carroll doth Covenant and Agree with him the said John Evan Jenkin that he the said John Evan Jenkin his Heirs and Assigns forever shall and may have hold and enjoy the said Land and Premisses Warranted and Defended as well against him the said Charles Carroll as against any person or Persons claiming from by or under him In Witness whereof the said Charles Carroll hath to these presents set his Hand and Affixed his seal the day and year first above written |
