72 In the w.thin Deed w.thout any fear threats or Displeasure of him her s.d Husband In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand the Day and year above written Recorded 21.st Aprill W.m Holland x.d This Indenture made the first day of December in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and Nineteen Between Thomas Padgett of Prince Georges County Planter Son and Heir of Thomas Padgett late of Calvert County Deced and John Baggby of Calvert County Planter & Mary his Wife Daughter & Heiress of one John Ford late of Calvert County afd Decd of the one part & William Meades and John Meades both of Calvert County afs.d of the other part Wittnesseth that Whereas the afd Thomas Padgett the son being seized & possessed (as heir to his father as afd) of & in a certain tract or parcell of Land called S.t Martins lying in Talbott County on the North side of Chaptank River in the Northern main branch of the s.d River called by the Name of Tuckahoe Creek containing by estimation four hundred acres more or less did by his deed of Bargain & sale of part thereof bearing date the first day of November in the Year of our Lord 1703 Grant bargain sell Alien Enfeoffe & confirm unto the afd John Ford in his lifetime for the consideration of thirty pounds of Lawfull Money of England to him the said Thomas Padgett the son in hand by him the said John |
