476 The following is Recorded at the Instance of M.r John Mole June 26.th 1723 I promise to Pay unto Gilbert Poulson or Ord.r on Demand the Sum of seven Thousand Seven hundred Twenty four pounds of good sound clean well conditioned Tobacco in Cask convenient in Ann Arundell County being for the Costs and Damage in a certain execution obtained by the said Powlson against me as wittness my hand this second day of May 1721 Thomas Cockey Testes Stephen Warman On the Back of which is endorsd June y.e 25.th 1723 Reced of John Mole the sum of Forty Two pounds nine shillings six pence sterling being in full for the within Note I say reced p me Stephen Warman Gilb.t Powlson x.d Maryland fs This Indenture made the Seventh Day of March Annoq Dm One Thousand Seven hundred and twenty two Between George Clagatt of Prince Georges County planter of the one part and Samuel Chew of Ann Arundell County Merchant and both of the province af.d of the other part wittnesseth That Whereas the said George Clagatt hath a Right unto four hundred Acres of Land being part of a Certain Tract of Land called Claggatts Forrest containing One Thousand acres lying and being in Baltemore County on the South Side of Bush River And on the Main branch of the said River called the south west Branch as by his Father Thomas Clagatts will Relation being thereunto had will appear |
