                      This Indenture made the fifteenth day of
       October Anno Dom seventeen hundred and eighteen
       Between Allexander Reid some time in Inveruray thereafter
       in the pariock of Alford & Sheir of Aberdeen now in the old
       town of Aberdeen Cousen of the Collatral of the whole blood &
       held at a law to George Reid late of Calv.t Co.ty in the Province
       of Maryland Gent Deceased of the one part and W.m
       Read of Aberdeen Merch.t of the other part Whereas
       the said George Read in his life time to with the thirtyeth
       day of Sept.r Anno Dom sixteen hundred and sixty two
       was seized in fee simple of & in a tract or pcell of Land
       called new seat lyeing on the south side of Patxent River
       formerly in the county of Calv.t But now in S.t Maries Co.ty
       and on the south side of a creek called S.t Nicholas near
       to the Resurretion Manner & near to the Land formerly
       surveyd into Nicholas Harvey called S.t Josephs Manner
       Begining at a marked oak near the head of the said
       creek to be holden of the Manner of Calvert on S.t Maries
       Co.ty bounding on y.e east by a line Drawn south and
       by east for bredth two hundred pches to a marked oak
       on the south by a line Drawn southwest from the said
       creek for and bred length Three hundred & twenty pches to a
       Marked Oak on the west by a line Drawn north & by
       west from the said oak on the west by a line Drawn north & by
       to an oak on the north by a line Drawn north east
       from y.e s.d oak unto the first Marked Oack by a Valey
       Cont.a & now laid out for four hundred acres more
       or less  And Whereas the said George Reed Reid on
