39 This Indenture made the fifteenth Day of October Anno Dom seventeen hundred and eighteen years between Alexander Reid some time in Incerunty the waster in the pariock of alford shire Aberdeen now in the Old Town of Aberdeen Cousen Collaterel of hole Blood and heir at Law to George Reid late of Calvert County in the province of Maryland Gentleman Deced of the one part and W.m Read Merchant in Aberdeen of the other part Whereas the said George Reid in his life time to witt the twenty fourth Day of March Anno Dom sixteen hundred fifty Nine was Seized in fee simple of & in a tract or parcell of Land called Readbourhe lying on the east side of Chesapeak and one the east side of a River in the said bay called Chester River lying in Queen Annes County begining at a marked oak standing by a marsh respecting sev.ll points to the west runing North East up the River for bredth five hundred perches to a marked psimon tree by Creek called the Herring Creek bounded on the south by a line Drawn south east and by east from the first marked Oak by the Marsh for length three hundred perches on the east by a line Drawn north east from the end of the south east and by east untill it intersects a paralel drawn from the Creek called the Hering Creek on the north w.th the said creek on the west w.th y.e said River containing and now laid out for one thousand acres of Land More or less And Whereas the said George on or aboute the day of Departed this Life intestate after whose Decease the afd tract of Land and pmisses w.th the appurtinances Decended to the said Alexander Reid as next kin & heir at Law to the said George Read Now This Indenture Wittnesseth that the said Alexander Reid for & in (con) |
