x.d  By this Publick Instrument of Procuration or letter
       of attorney be it knowne & manifest unto all those who shall see
       these presents or here the same Read that on the Twenty first
       day of January Anno Dom 1720 and in the seventh year of
       the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord George by the grace of God
       of Great brittain France & Ireland King Defender of the faith
       &c.a Before me John Exton Notary Publick Dwelling in London
       Duly Admitted and Sworne Personally Appeared M.r John Hyde
       of London merch.t who for and on the part and Behalf of him
       Self and Comp.a Declared to have made ordained and constituted
       and by these presents doth make ordain and constitute James
       Carroll of Maryland Esq.r & major John Bradford also of Maryland
       Gen.t his true and lawfull attorneys Giving and by
       these presents Granting unto his said attorneys and either
       of them Jointly & severally full power & Lawfull Authority
       for him the said constituant & in his name (in the Quality
       Afore Said) to aske Demand Leavey sue for and by all
       Lawfull waies and meanes to recover and Receive of & from
       all & Every Person and Persons of what Degree or quallity
       soever whome it shall or m^a^y concern all and singuler such
       sume and sumes of money Goods wares Marchandises Effects
       Estate and things whatsoever which they or any of them
       now doe or shall here after owe or stand indebted or
