       of the province of Maryland and Avalon
       Lord Baron of Baltemore &c.a And allso Francis
       Lord Guilford Guardian of the said  
       Charles Lord Baltemore for and on his
       behalf To Charles Calvert Esq.r
       Greeting

       Whereas his late Majesty King
       Charles the first of blessed Memory by
       his Royall letters Pattent under the
       Great seal of England bearing date the
       twentieth of June in the Eighth Year of
       his Reign was Graciously pleased to Grant
       for the Causes and Considerations therein
       Mentioned unto Cæcilius Baron of Baltemore
       his heirs and assignes the said Province
       of Maryland &c.a with all Powers
       Jurisdictions and Authorities whatsoever
       Necessary and Convenient for the well Governing
       safety and Preservation of the said
       Province and the Inhabitants thereof
