66 The foll.o Cert recorded at the request of M.r Ephraim Aug.t Herman of Cecil County In the records of Cecill County among other charges is thus contained Viz.t These are to Certifie that I Edw.d Blay one of the Justices of Cecill County have lawfully joyned togeather in the bonds of matrimony Casparus Herman & Kath.a Williams the 31.st day of August 1686 Edward Blay A True copy taken from the records of Cæcill County by Jn.o Dowdall Clk recorded Aug.t 27.th 1711 91 Jn.o Mackeys [illegible] By vertue of a Warr.t of Resurvey Issued in ag.t this Cause Directed to the sher of S.t Maryes County Tho.s Hebb and the Queens surveyor of the same County in Comon forme Comanding them to Resurvey the Land in Dispute Judgm.t Enterd between the said parties &c returnable to the assizes to be held in Lib T P for S.t Maryes County the 14.th Day of Septemb.r 1710 The said sherr N.o 2 folio and surveyor Made the following Return viz.t 165 Maryland S.t Marys Coss By Vertue of a Warrant out of the prov.ll Court bearing Date the 15.th Day of July 1710 tons Henry Pereg Jowles surveyor and Kenelm Cheseldyne sher of the aforesd Co Directed Comanding as to Resurvey and lay out that tract of Land Lyeing in S.t Georges Creeke Commonly Called Bean point according to the Antient Meete and bounds thereof In Obedience thereunto He the said sher and surveyor Did On the sixteenth Day of Aug.t 1710 Meet upon the aforesaid Land And proceeded to Lay out the pretentions of the plantiff in presence of the Defend.r as followeth (viz.t) Begining at a bite of S.t Johns Creeke (prov.d by the oath of Mary Gringoe hereunto annex.d) and Runing North Twenty five Degrees Westwardly one hundred thirty eight perches to James's Marsh at S.t Georges Creeke which is all the artificiall Lines Mention'd therein it being a peninsula or Neck of Land Then we proceeded to lay out the pretentions of the defendant of the as foll.o Viz.t Begining at the head of S.t Johns Creek (prov'd by the Oath of Jn.o Boomer and some other the Materialls of w.ch are hereunto annexed) and ran from a bounded Oak west twenty three degrees North^wardly^ one hundred and fifty eight per to a marsh in S.t Georges Creek Called James's Marsh as by the platts thereof may more Plainly appear As wittness our hands & seales this 6.th day of [illegible] 1710 Kenelm Chiseldyne sher (Se) Hen Pereg Jowles sur (seal) To which Resur was annexed the foll.o Dep.o Viz.t The Dep.o of David Evans aged fifty five Yeares or thereabouts who Declares (on) |
