525 You are to grant to Henry Wharton One hundred forty six Acres called the Neighbourhood adjoyning to Quosley Hall in case the same belong to me You are to grant to Henry Sewall a peice of Escheat Land of Two or Three hundred Acres You are to grant Gerard Slye a peice or peices of Escheat Land of five hundred Acres in all in full compensation of his pretensions to five hundred Acres sold to his father by Charles Calvert and supposed to be within my Mannor of Ann Arundell for which I have also give Captain Richard Smith a compensation pretending Right thereto from the said Charles Calvert's father You are to grant Anne Duckworth One hundred acres of land being in consideration of the like Quantity Hopewell her former husband pretended a right to in Mattastiny Mannor the said One hundred acres to be out of the Mill Mannor in S.t Marys County But with the least Prejudice to the remainder You are hereby required to authorize M.r Henry Darnall to lett & lease My Mannors of the Western Shore at the Usuall fine of forty shillings and yearly Rent of ten shillings p hundred Acres as also to receive the rents and fines aforesaid and the Arrears thereof who is to account with you yearly for the same such Lease to be for one and twenty [illegible] lives and no more as for my Mannors on the Eastern Shore you are to Lease them or any part of thereof at the fine and rents I doe hereby further Order and Impower you to Authorize and Appoint the said M.r Henry Darnall to be my Examiner Generall within my s.d Province Whereas I have receivd from Cap.t Richard Smith two Letters in one whereof he clames the Benefitt of a promise of mine & of a Letter by me writt to his wife Barbara Decd about one (Thousand) |
