       Granted you till further Order and Directions shall be by me Given
       in that behalf who are to continue as Register of My land office
       at Annapolis the person at such time by you employed under
       you in the said Office till further Order from me
       Whereas in all Grants of Land heretofore by my father and my
       self made the penalty inserted for non payment of my alienation
       office was onely the Makeing of the Alienation Void to which I
       found which I found by experience to be of little use to me And their
       severall persons in my said Province have made severall allienacons of
       Land without paying me my alienation fine before such
       alienacon To prevent which Inconveniency for the future You
       are hereby Ordered instead of the Clause heretofore Inserted
       in the Grant for Makeing the alienation Void upon non payment
       of the office before such alienation to insert a provisoe for
       makeing my Grant Void in case the alienacon fine reserved
       be not paid before such alienation  The severall persons
       herein ^before^ menconed to whome I have made any allowance in tobacco
       are in the first place if any of them hold Lands of me to Discount
       the Rents and Arrears of such Lands out of the allowances
       which I have Ordered you to make them               In Case
       You take out any warrants you selfe and Grants of any
       Lands thereupon (It being not proper you should sign and
       seal such Warrants and Grants your selfe) Major Nicholas
       Sewall M.r Henry Darnall or M.r Edward Digges are hereby
       Impowered to sign & seale such Warrants and Grants
       You are to grant Cecill Butler a Warrant or
       Grant for five hundred Acres of land as a full compensacon
       for his pretensions on acc.t of his late father in law Robert
       Carvill on the land formerly belonging to one Roderick
       Heath as also to grant him a Lease of the Plantation of
       of S.t Johns near the City of S.t Marys pursuant to my
       Directions heretofore given to Colonell Darnall
