       Upon the humble Petition of Co.ll George Talbot a Prisoner at
       the barr Co.l Thomas Ballard and M.r Arthur Spicer are Nominated
       and assignes his Council to Argue all Points of Law wherein he
       shall be concerned

       M.r Attorney Generall on the behalf of his Majesty haveing yesterday
       Preferred an Indictment for felony by statute ag.t Co.l George Talbot
       late of Maryland viz.t for stabing to death M.r Christopher
       Rousby the Grand Jury returned the same Billa Vera and the
       Prisoner being this day called to the barr after the Indictment
       was read pleaded thereto not guilty and for tryall thereof
       put himself upon God and the Countrey the Petty Jury was then
       called over and the Prisoner made his exceptions only ag.t five
       persons and admitted the following persons to be his Jury Viz.t
       Co.l W.m Kendal foreman Co.l Edw.d Hill M.r W.m Randolph M.r
       Charles Goodrick M.r Thomas Hodge M.r Thomas Coake M.r
       Francis Epps M.r Joseph Mauldin M.r W.m Tayloe M.r
       David Carfford M.r Thomas Youl and M.r John Smith who
       upon their Oaths return the Prisoner Guilty

               Then the said Co.l George Talbot moved that he might have
       Council assigned to argue such points in Law as he should
       assigne and a time appointed for the argueing thereof
      
                The court assigned Co.l Thomas Ballard and M.r Arthur
       Spicer Council for the Prisoner and appointed the One and
       twentyeth Instant for the argueing such points as the prisoner
       Co.l George Talbot and his Council should move in his behalf

                         The Jurors for our Sovereigne Lord the king upon
                   their Oath present that George Talbot late of his Majestys
       Province of Maryland Gent not haveing the fear of God before
       his eyes but being moved and seduced by the instigation of the
       Devill the one and thirtyeth day of October in the thirtieth six
       year of the Reigne of our Late Sovereigne Lord King Charles y.e
