       Memorandom   That this day to with the ninteenth day of
       Decem.r 1717 came before me Sam.ll Young Esq.r one of his
       Lordships Justices of the prov.ll Court of the province of
       Maryland the w.thin named Richard Freeborne & acknowledged
       the w.thin Instrument to be his act and deed and the land and
       prmisses therein menconed to be the right and Estate of
       the w.thin Named Charles Howard his heirs and assignes
       for ever according to the true intent & meaning of the
       w.thin deed and the act of assembly in that case made and
       provided          Taken & acknowledged the day & year
       above said      before me               Sam.ll Young
       Recorded Jeneary the 15.th 1717


          John Hart Esq.r Cap.t Generall and Governour in Chief in
       and over this her Majesties Provinces of Maryland and the
       Teretories thereunto belonging &c.a  To all persons to whome these
       presents shall come or concerne Greeting

       Know Yee that whereas her Majestie by her royall commission
       to me under the Great Seale of Great Brittain bearing date at
       Westminster the Twelveth day of Febuary in the twelveth year of her
       Maj.ts Reigne &c.a Annoq Dom one thousand seven hundred and
       thirteen has been Gracious pleased among other powers and authoritys
       to me granted thereinto authorize and empower me upon the Death
       absence or suspension of any person in this province holding or
       enjoying any office of trust or proffitt by commissions under y.e Great
       Seale from her Maj.t to appoint some other fitt person in my
       Discretion to supply the Vacancy Officiate in & execute y.e trust
       and charge of such office untill such time as her Maj.ts Royall
       pleasure shall be signifyed therein And whereas also it hath
       pleased God to take out of this World by Death S.t Thomas
       Laurence Baronett her Maj.ts late secretary and publick
       Notary of this province whereby the said place and office is
       become Vacant  And there being an Absolute Necessity of
       some person to execute officiate and performe that Office
       and Trust therefore pursuant to the said persons pewer
