465 Friend Thomas Smith of Calvert County and af.d province of Maryland in this behoof to be by Lawfull attorny for me and in my stead & place to Acknowledge to the af.d Tract of Land (reference being hereby had to a Deed of Lease and release Bearing date the one the 13.th the other the 14.th of May 1717 wherein agreeable to the ten.r of these presents I have Granted the af.d Land) unto Sam.ll Chew jun.r and I do hereby ratify and confirm w.tsoever my said Attorny shall do in the pmisses as if I my self were personably present and did act the same In wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred & seventeen John (seale) Taneyhill Signed Sealed and published to be his Letter of Attorney in psence of us Sam.ll Chew of Maidstone James Bell October the 3.d 1717 Then Came before me Sam.ll Chew of Maidstone one of the evidences to the within Letter of Attorney and solemnly affirmed and Decleared according to the usage of the people called quaters that he saw the within named John Tanehill signe seale & Delever the same as his act & deed Attested before me William Holland Recorded Jeneary the 14.th 1717 Maryland fs This Indenture made the Nineteenth day of Decem.r in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred & seventeen Between Richard Freeborne Late of Ann.ll County planter sonn & heire at Law of M.r Thomas Freeborne Late of the said county Deceased of the one part and Charles Howard of the same county planter son & heir at Law of M.r Cornelius Howard Late of y.e same county Deceased of the other part Wittnesseth that y.e s.d Rich.d Freeborne for & in consideracon of y.e sume of seventy pounds sterl to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by the s.d Cornelius Howard Deceased at & before the sealing and Delevery of these presents the Receipt whereof he the said Richard Freeborne Doth hereby acknowledge and himself therew.th fully satisfied and paid and thereof and of every part and percell thereof Doth Clearly Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the s.d Charles Howard his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs for ever by these presents Hath Given Granted Aliened bargained sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed & by these psents Doth fully clearly and absolutely Give Grant (Bargained) |
