x.d  To all Christian people to whome these presents
       shall come Know Yee that whereas Alex.r Parran of
       Calvert County by his deed Indented Bearing date the twenty
       third day of March In y.e year of our Lord God one thousand
       seven hundred and sixteen did sell Convey Grant and
       make over unto Charles Carroll of Anna.ll County Esq.r for y.e
       Condic ^Consideration^ of one thousand pounds sterl y.e seall tracts parts
       of tracts and parcells of Land therein menconed as alsoe twenty
       four slaves one ^hundred^ head of cattle twenty horses & mares one hundred
       head of sheep and evleathers one hundred head of hoggs and
       three hundred or thereabouts Ounces of silver plate
       To have & To hold y.e said lands Goods & Chattles unto
       him y.e said Charles his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs absolutely w.thout
       condicon provisoe or Clause of Redemption upon repaym.t
       of the one thousand pounds Sterl with Interest Now these presents do
       Testifie Wittness and declare that it is agreed upon by and between the said
       Charles and Alexander and the said Charles for himselfe his heirs Ex.rs and
       Adm.rs doth declare and covenant to and with the said Alexander his heirs
       Ex.rs or Adm.rs that in case the said Alexander his heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs shall
       well and truely pay or cause to be paid unto the said Charles his Ex.rs or
       Adm.rs at or upon the Twenty third day of March ^which^ shall be in the year of
       our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and seventeen [illegible] the
       sume of sixty pounds of Lawfull mony of England being one years
       interest on the said one thousand pounds as also at or upon the twenty
       third day of March which shall be in the Year of our Lord God one
       thousand pounds seven hundred and eighteen the Like sume of sixty
       pounds of Like mony with two hundred and Fifty pounds of the principall
       mony As also at or upon the twenty third day of March which shall be
       in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and Nineteen
       the sume of forty five pounds of Like mony being one Years Interest
       on seven hundred and fifty pounds then only remaining ^part^ unpaid of y.e
       principle sume and Likewise two hundred and fifty pounds more of
       the principle sume and at or upon the twenty third day of March which
       shall be in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and twenty
       the sume of thirty pounds of Like mony being one Years Interest on
