       hundred and sixteen Between Richard Smith of Patuxent
       In Maryland Gent of the one part and Charles Carroll of y.e
       City of Annapolis Esq.r of the other part Wittnesseth that y.e
       s.d Richard for and in consideracon of the sume of one hundred
       twenty five pounds sterl to him in hand paid by the s.d
       Charles y.e receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof
       doth acquitt y.e s.d Charles his ex.rs and adm.rs Hath Given Granted
       Bargained Sold Aliend Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these
       presents doth for himself and his heirs give Grant Bargaine sell
       Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Charles his heirs
       and assignes for ever   All That ^one^ moyety of a Tract of Land
       lyeing in Baltemore County and called by the name of the Valley
       of Jehesipath and Expressing by Patent to Containe two thousand
       and five hundred acres the s.d moyety being one thousand two
       hundred & fifty Acres and Discended to him as heir at Law to
       his Father Cap.t Richard Smith late of Saint Leonards In
