351) Letters patents relacon thereunto being had more fully and at Large appears and his present maj.ty King George haveing approved the appointment of you to be Lieutenant and Chief Governour of the said province Know therefore that I the said Lord Baltemore and I the said Francis Lord Guilford Guardian of the said Lord Baltemore on his behalf reposeing especiall trust and confidence in your Loyalty Courage prudence and Conduct have (by vertue of the powers Given in and by the said Letters Pattents and approbation afd) Constituted Nominated and appointed and by these Presents do Constitute Nominate and appoint you the said John Hart to be Lieutenant and Chief Governour of the said province of Maryland Giveing and hereby granting you full and absolute power and Authority to exercise execute and put in practice all and every the said powers jurisdictions and Authoritys so Granted in and by the said Letters pattents as afd Necessary and Convenient for the defence safety preservation well being and good Governing of the said province and Generally to do execute and performe all and all manner of matters and things whatsoever requisite and necessary for the Good order of Government Administring Maintaining and Executeing of Justice and for the security Defence safety peace and Preservation of the said province and people hereby committed to your charge And also w.th y.e (Consent) |
