344 x.d This Indenture Made this Fourteenth day of Sptember in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred & Fifteen Between Thomas Docwra of the City of Annapolis Tanner of the one parte and Charles Carroll of the City afd Esquire of the other parte Wittnesseth that the said Thomas for & in consideration of the sume of one hundred and fifty pounds currant mony of England makeing the sume of two hundred pounds Currant mony of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Charles the receipt whereof the said Thomas doth hereby acknowledge and therewith doth hold himselfe fully satisfied & contented hath Given granted Bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed as by these p.rsents he doth for himselfe and his heirs give grant Bargaine sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirme unto him the said Charles All that Lott of ground Lying in Marborough Town and whereon the said Thomas hath built and erected a Tann house or houses and placed a Tanyard together with all Edifices Buildings Tann fatts Bark houses Bark Mills and all other Utensills whatsoever for working thereunto belonging as alsoe eight hundred good neat Leather Hides two hundred thereof being compleatly Tanned and three hundred more in the tann fatt about halfe tanned and ^y.e^ remaining three hundred hydes Green and newly brought into the said Tann Yard To have and to hold use occupy possess and enjoy the Said Lott of Ground togeather with all and singular the said tan houses Tan Yards and are ^and^ other y.e appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining as also the afd Number of eight hundred hydes in manner and forme afd Tanned half taned and Green Lying and being in the Tann houses and (Tanyard) |
