       the Right hon.ble Cæcilius of most Noble Memory late absolute Lord &
       propry of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Barron of
       Baltemore &c.a by his Deed of Grant or pattent under his Lordships
       broad seale used in the said province of Maryland for Granting of
       Lands here bearing date at the Citty of S.t Maryes the fifteenth
       Day of Feb.ry in the Yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred sixty
       and five for the consid.a therein menconed did Give and Grant unto one
       Gabrill Bartley of the afd County of Calv.t Gent all that tract or pcell
       of Land Called Hardesty Choice Lying in the afd County of Calv.t
       on the east side of Patuxent River Cont.a five hundred and
       Fifty acres be the same more or Less To have and to hold the
       afd five hundred and fifty acres of Land to him the said Gabriell Bartley
       his heires and assignes for ever under such Rents Covenants
       Limit.a and Exceptions as in and by the said Recited deed of Grant
       or patt.t Relation thereunto had more at Large it doth and may
       appeare And Whereas the said Gab.ll Batley by his deed of fine
       or Concerd inrowled in the Records of Calv.t County Court and
       dated the nineteenth Day of March one thousd six hund.d sixty six
       seven for the Consid.n therein Menconed Did give and acknowledge
       to one George Hardesty of the afd County of Calv.t the one half or
       moyety of the afd tract or parcell of Land Called Hardestyes
       Choice Cont.a two hund.d seventy and five acres more or Less
       To have and to hold the same to him and his heires for ever
       as by the said Deed Relacon thereunto had appeareth And
       Whereas the said George Hardesty being of the afd two hundred
       seventy five acres of Land the one half or Moyety of Hardestys
       Choice possessed in his Lifetime made his Last will and Testam.t
       in Wrighting bearing date the Twenty fourth day of Aprill one
       thousand six hundred sixty and eight wherein amongst other things
       he gave and bequeathed unto his son Thomas Hardesty (party to
       these presents) and his heires for ever sixty five acres of Land being
       part of the afd two hundred seventy five acres of Land the one
       half or moyety of the afd tract or pcell of Land Called Hardestyes
       Choice as by the Last will and testm.t of the said George Hardesty
       relacon therein to had more at Large it doth & may appeare
       Now this Indenture Further Wittnesseth that the sd
       Thomas Hardesty who as well for and in Consideration of the full &
       just sume and Quantity of fourteen thousand four hundred
       pounds of good sound Merch.table Leafe tob.o and Cask to him or
       his ord.r in hand well and truly paid and satisfied or secured to be
       well and truly paid and satisfied by the said Charles Carroll the
       receipt whereof he the said Thomas Hardesty doth hereby
       acknowledge and of every part and pcell thereof for himself his
       heires ex.rs and ad.rs and for every of them doth hereby acquitt
       exonerate and fully discharge the afd Charles Carroll his ex.rs
