             By This Publick Instrument of Procuration
             or Letter of att.rny Be it known and manifest unto all
       people that on the ninth day of the month of December 1713 &
       in the twelfth year of the reigne of our sovereigne Lady Anne
       Queen of Great Brittaine &c.a before me William Scorey
       Notary Publick and admitted and sworn dwelling in London
       and in the presence of the wittnesses after named Personally
       appeared Mess.rs Jn.o Cadwell John Perry Thomas Henkell
       and Thomas Bond of London merch.ts and have made ordained
       and constituted and by these presents do and each of them doth
       make ordain and constitute Cap.t John Bond Comander of the
       ship called the Partridge now in the River of Thames &
       bound for the province of Maryland their true and lawfull
       attorney Giveing unto him full power and Authority for and
       in the names of the said constituents to ask demand sue for
       Recover and receive of and from Cap.t John Carpenter Stephen
       Warman and all and every other person or persons w.tsoever
       in Maryland afd whom it doth or may concerne all
       moneys tobaccoes and other goods wares Merchandizes &
       effects w.tsoever as they or any of them owe and are Indebted
       and accountable for to the said constituents for what cause
       or reason soever y.e same may be nothing excepted or reserved
       togeather with all costs damages and interests but more
       particularly to demand recover and receive the said
       constituents shares and proportions of the effects and
       proceed of a Loading of Salt delivered in Maryland out
       of the ship called the Grundy Cap.t John Booker Comand.r
       Moreover touching the premises to acc.t compound and by
       arbitration or any other amicable means to conclude and
       agree as occasion shall require Upon Recoverys and
       Receipts to make and give due and suff.t acquitances &
       discharges and (if need be) to appear and the persons of y.e
       said constiuents to represent in any Court or Courts Conven.t
       and to pursue Implead seize sequester Attach Arrest
       Imprison and to Condemn and out of Prison again (when
       needfull) to deliver Cum facultate substituendi and
