227 A At April Session 1669 an act passed directing that all that land lying and being on the South side of Choptank River Bounded Westerly by the freehold in the tenure and occupation of William Dorrington and easterly with the creek falling on the said River of Choptank commonly by the English called or known by the name of secretary Sewalls Creek for breadth and from the said River side three miles into the woods for length should be unto Ababco Hatsawgh and Tequassimo and the people under this Government or charge and their heirs for ever This Law recorded in Liber W H & L folio 34 in the General Court office for the Western shore By the [illegible] Aprill Session 17?? On the 13 Jun 1701 a survey was made of the above Land by Thomas Ennalls & said by him in his virtue to the pursuant to an ordinance of assembly made and ordered the 15.th & 16.th day of May Anno Domini 1701 B by the said survey the said Land is said to Begin recite the return This survey recorded in Liber T P N.o 4 folio 109 of the land records of the Gen.l C.t for the W shore By the act of 1721 c 12 The Governor was directed to appoint commissioners to resurvey the Indians Lands & ascertain the Bounds thereof This act did not direct where the surveys were to be recorded Recorded in Liber L L N.o 4 folio 531 one of Law record Books of the Gen.l Court |
