                By this Publick Instrument of procuration or Letter of
       attorney be it known and Manifest unto all those who shall see these
       Psents or hear the same Read that on the fifth day of the month of November
       Anno Dom 1709 and in the Eighth year of the Reigne of our
       sovereigne Lady Anne by the Grace of God ^Queen^ of Great Brittaine France &
       Ireland defender of the faith &c  Before me James Dunnidge Notary
       and Tabellion Publick Dwelling in London duly admitted and sworn
       and in the presence of the wittnesses hereafter named personnally
       Appeared M.r Samuell Groom of London Merchant who declared
       to have made ordained & Constituted & by these psents do^th^ make ordain
       and Constituten Camp Cap.t Daniel Groom Commander of the good ship or
       Vessell Called the Hester now bound out on a Voyage to Maryland his
       True and Lawfull attorney  Giveing and by these presents Granting
       unto his said attorney full power and Lawfull Authority for him
       the said Constituant in his name and to his Isue to ask demand
       Leavy sue for and by all Lawfull waies and meanes Recover &
       Receive of and from all and every person or persons of what degree
       or Quality  soever whome it shall or may Concerne all and every
       such sume and sums of Money goods Wares Merchandizes Effects
       Estate and things whatsoever due owing belonging or in anywise
       appertaining to him the said Constituant Whether by bond note bill
       book debt account Consignment or for or by what other Reason or
       meanes soever Nothing Excepted ^n^or Reserved  And further the
       said Constituant doth hereby further Impower his said attorney to
       sell and dispose of any houses Lands plantations Negroes stock &
       things belonging to him the said Constituant in Maryland afd and to
       signe seale and Execute such deeds or Conveyances as shall be requisite
       and necessary and to Give possession and seizin thereof also to
       demise Lett sell sett and to farm Lett such houses Lands Tenements
       or plantations to any person or psons by lease or otherwise and
       to Receive the Rents Issues and proffitts of the same and for want of
       payment to Distrain and Reenter and to that End to account and to
       View settle & adjust all accounts and the ballance thereof to Receive
