135 Memord.a the first day of December 1709 Came before me W.m Holland Esq Chief Justice of her maj.tys province of Maryland the within menconed John Stallings Richard Stallings and Jacob Stallings who acknowledged the within deed & Lands therein menconed according to act of Assembly made for acknowledging Conveyances 1076 W.m Holland x.d To all Christian people to whome this present writeing shall Come Anne Cockayne aged forty six yeares or thereabout wife of Samuel Cockayne of Gilling in the County of York & Kingdom of England gentleman aged forty six yeares or thereabout one of the daughters of William Carter late of Gilling afores.d Gentl deced who was the eldest Brother of Thomas Carter late Citizen and Alderman of the Citty of York deceased and also Eldest Brother of Richard Carter late of Marsland in Maryland Mercer deceased Christopher Tesdall of the Town & County of New Castle upon Tine Merchant and said Kingdom of England aged forty two yeares or thereabout and Mary his Wife aged thirty nine yeares or thereabout another of the daughters of the said William Carter and Nath.ll Hargrave of the Town & County of New Castle upon Tine afores.d Gentleman aged forty one yeares or thereabout tutor & Guardian and for and on the behalf of James Hargrave of Newcastle afd being a minor under the age of Twenty one yeares that is to say of the age of eight yeares or thereabout which said James Hargrave is now liveing & is Eldest Sonn of the s.d Nathaniel Hargrave and Sarah his late wife since deceased who was the other of the daughters of the s.d W.m Carter they the s.d Anne Cockayne Mary Tesdall & James Hargrave & being partners and Coheires of the s.d Rich.d Carter sending Greeting Know Yee that the said Anne Cockayne Christopher Teasdall and Mary his wife & Nathaniel Hargrave on the third day of February anno regni dûe ûre Anno nunc Regine Magne Britannie &c septimoe Annoq.a Dm Millesimo septingentesimo octavo (syle Anglie) before the Right Worshipfull Robert Fenwick Esq mayor of the Town & Country of Newcastle upon Tine aforesaid in the Kingdom aforesaid the Notary Publick and the Wittnesses under named did Joyntly and (severally) |
