       This Indenture made the 20.th day of
       May in the fifth yeare of the Reigne of
       our sovereigne Lady Queen Anne of England
       &c.a Annoq Dni 1706  Between Nicholas
       Shepheard of annarundell County  In the
       province of Maryland planter of the one
       part and John Marriot of the same County
       & province planter of the other part wittnesseth
       that whereas the Right honble
       Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the
       province of Maryland and Avalon Lord
       Baron of Baltemore Did by his letters
       patent beareing Date the third Day of
       Aprill one thousand seven hundred and Two
       Issued under his s.d Lopps Greater seale at armes
       Grant unto the s.d Nicholas Shepheard party to
       these p.rsents for the Considerations therein mentioned
       all that Tract or parcell of Land called
       Shepheards Forrest lying in Baltemore County
       on the southermost side of patuxent river about
       a Mile above Dryers Land Begining att
       a bounded white oake about nine pales from
       another bound white oake thence south south
