850 The foll Examination being made in relation to ^a^ Cause depending in the provincial Court between Leonard Holiday an Orphan by Thomas Greenfieldd Esq.r his Guardians lessee plaint & Hugh Riley Defendant is at the prayer of the sd Defend.t recorded as foll.o viz.t In Obedienece to A Comission from the High Court of Chancery dated the Eighteenth of February last Empowring us to Examine evidences Concerning the bounded trees of two tracts of Land called uper Guitting & Tewksbury, belongig to the Orphans of Colonell Thomas Hollyday we did this day Call before us Colonell Nininan Beall who made Oath upon the holy Evangelist that, A burnt stump of a white Oak (at w.ch stump he then was), was marked for the second bounded tree of uper Getting, also the second bound tree of Tewksbury & was the North East bound tree of Scotts lott, also the second bound tree of Dundee, & the first tree of Tho Plumers Land Near to w.ch stump stands a white oak bounded by M.r Clem.t Hill standing in the first Line of uper guitting Also the sd Colonell Beall Caried us to a dead White Oak standing on Collington, w.ch he deposed was the first bounded tree of Tewksbury and the third bound tree of uper Guitting, w.ch sd tree being dead M.r Thomas Greenfield bounded a small white oak w.th four Notches on two sides, being abot five or six foot from the dead tree and stands a little above a bridge over the sd Collington swamp March 21 1703 Juratt Coram Nobis R Bradly (seal) James Stoddert (seal) Prince Geo County January the first 1704/5 That whereas Joshua Cecell of y.e aforesaid County have Lately brought or Commenced an action against |
