(8) the said Land Lyeth at the Cheife Mansion House at or upon the tenth day of Octob.r in Every Yeare Two good henns or Capons And the said Charles Calvert doth for himself his Heirs & Assignes Covenant & grant that he the said Charles the said Lands & p.rmisses called Scotland and every part & parcell thereof as afores.d against all parsons whatsoever to them the said Zacharias Vanswerengen & Martha his wife their Heirs & Assignes shall and will for Ever warrant and Defend by these p.rsents In testymoney whereof the said Charles Calvert hath Hereunto set his hand and seal the Day & Yeare abovesaid Signed Sealed and Delivered Charles Calvert (seal) in the presence of us On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t George Thompson Recorded in Lib N.o A fo 6 1697 W.m Aisquith Dep.t Clk W Taylard of S.t Maries County Philip Clarke And the following Conveyance was likewise Endorsed in these words viz.t To all Christian people to whome these p.rsents shall Come Knowe Yee that Zacharias Vansweringen of S.t Maries County and Martha his wife for & in Considercon of the Exchange A certaine Tract of Land comonly called or Knowne by the Name of Lucus his plantacon scituate Lying & being on the south side of S.t Clares Creek in S.t Michaels hundred in S.t Maries County aforesaid whereof the said Zacharias Now liveth which William Taylard of the afores.d County |
